Qaumiyyah: Jurnal Hukum Tata Negara addresses significant errors and integrity concerns after publication to maintain an accurate, traceable scholarly record. Authors and readers should report concerns through the editorial office, identifying the article and supplying relevant evidence.
A correction is appropriate when a specific error requires public clarification but the article's principal findings or argument remain reliable. Where a potentially serious concern remains unresolved and readers need to be alerted, the editor may issue an expression of concern while assessment or institutional investigation continues.
Retraction may be warranted where reliable evidence shows that the work is substantially unreliable, plagiarised, redundantly published without adequate disclosure, based on unethical research, or affected by another serious breach that compromises its integrity. The editor considers the evidence, seeks relevant explanations, and follows applicable COPE guidance. Retraction protects the record and is not a disciplinary penalty.
Substantive changes are documented in a dated notice that identifies the article, explains the action and its reasons, and links to the original record. A retracted article remains identifiable and clearly marked as retracted; exceptional restriction or removal requires a compelling legal, privacy, or safety justification. The bibliographic record and explanatory notice should remain accessible. A request from an author does not automatically justify removing a published article.
Ethical guidance: COPE Retraction Guidelines; COPE guidance on expressions of concern.
