Authorship Criteria

Authorship in Qaumiyyah: Jurnal Hukum Tata Negara recognises substantive intellectual contributions and entails responsibility for the published work. The author list must accurately represent those who conducted and developed the research.

Eligibility and responsibility

Each author must have contributed substantially to the conception, legal analysis, research design, collection or interpretation of evidence; participated in drafting or critically revising the manuscript; approved the version submitted for publication; and agreed to be accountable for their contribution and to assist in resolving questions about the work's integrity. General supervision, administrative position, funding acquisition, or language assistance alone does not establish authorship. Other contributions should be acknowledged with the contributor's consent.

Agreement and changes

The corresponding author must ensure that all eligible authors are included, that no honorary or undisclosed authorship occurs, and that all authors agree to submission, author order, and the final manuscript. Contributions should be described transparently. Requests to add, remove, or reorder authors must explain the reason and include written agreement from all affected authors. The editors may suspend consideration while a dispute remains unresolved and seek an institutional determination where necessary. Changes after publication require an appropriate correction to the record.

Ethical guidance: COPE discussion document on authorship; COPE guidance on authorship changes.
